We've been bringing people from our diverse communities together Under One Roof to share their stories, music, objects, food and rituals. From November 2023 to May 2024 local artist and poet Gabriella Gay has been working with us to organise special Culture Share events. Here are just a few photos from the four events, at NORSACA, St Mark's Primary School, Stepping Stones Islamic Centre and at St Mark's Church.

Under One Roof at a Glance
Under One Roof is a community heritage project based in and around St Mark’s Church in Shelton Stoke on Trent.
The aim of the project is to restore and conserve this important Edwardian building.
Under One Roof is funded by a major grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund with supporting funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust, National Churches Trust, Whalley's Quarry and Edward Cadbury Charitable Trust.

Community Heritage activities include learning sessions, creative activities, talks, research and events which enable people to share and understand local heritage.
The project explores the history of migration into the area and those who came to work in the potteries, pits and steel works and more recent arrivals.
